We are pleased to announce that NACCPhilly and Temple University School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management are joining forces to run a student team project during the 2016 fall semester. The goal of the project is to identify opportunities for NACC to increase bilateral trade and bring about closer business relations between the Greater Philadelphia market and Norway. The team will also suggest a model for NACC to work with businesses and corporations and develop marketing communications recommendations to generate awareness of NACC and the services the organization can provide.
The final written report is due on December 23, 2016. The report will be distributed throughout NACC’s network and be made available to the public.
The recently published Greater Philadelphia Export Plan pointed out that export service providers and economic development organizations could generate greater impact by collectively developing a seamless set of information and services. This initiative intends to collect actionable data on transatlantic trade with particular focus on how Greater Philadelphia can benefit from tying closer ties with an innovative, mid-size modern economy like Norway’s. The report’s conclusions will form the platform for future initiatives and partnerships to promote commercial cooperation between the Greater Philadelphia region and Norway. The format and methodology will be offered up for unlimited use by other U.S. trades regions and business organizations.
